VOIP and 131008

CALLS TO 131008 USING VOIP (INTERNET) PHONES MAY NOT CONNECT YOU TO YOUR LOCAL TAXI SERVICE

Taxi clients are notified that VOIP (Internet) phones – using services such as SKYPE, may not connect you to your local taxi service.

If you do use VOIP services to dial 131008 you may find that your call is routed to a taxi service in some other city or town (even to some other state) far away from the place where you are calling. That outcome might be confusing for you – it will be even more confusing for the taxi service, which has no idea why you phoned it for a taxi that it cannot provide to you.

If your VOIP calls are not connecting you to your local taxi service that problem is caused by your Internet Service Provider and NOT the 131008 service.  Please contact your Internet Service Provider and ask them to fix the problem with the internet service they are providing to you.  If they do not understand the problem tell them to contact us.
